What is Reality? Watch The Brain with David Eagleman Online | PBS Video

and this...this is fascinating. the buddhists were right! maybe. "all an illusion..."

reality is a construct of the brain, an effort to create something that allows the animal to function in a world which may not resemble what we think we know at all. we look through a tiny window.

I wish the program also went into, "if reality isn't really what we think it is, what might it resemble? what might it be?" is it possible to perceive it somehow...

maybe that's a different episode.

definitely autumn. this, south of Harrisburg, a country road giving the sense of a lifestyle quite different from that of the urban dweller.

and here, although there was no need for it in the cool autumn  air, is a device surely welcome during the heat of summer. and what a great name.
in the city, where friends go to daycare, looking up at passersby to see if they're the one about to be picked up and taken home.

poignant in the late afternoon sun and shadow, leaning against the window's black bars, phone number stenciled on your back.
