Doylestown Day




















Spent the day in Doylestown in good company, checking out the Michener Museum, a pasta place, used books store, Siren Songs, and a second-hand clothing spot.

Hurry up and wait.

It doesn't pay to arrive early at an open mic, lose the signup scrum, and then sit around and wait. and wait. and wait.

We left at midnight, with four people still ahead of us.

Sigh.

The fairest system I've seen so far at open mics, the crowded ones, makes use of a randomizing app to determine playing order and a time limit, not just a "song" limit, that twenty minutes of interminable jamming.
