This is the only known photograph from the old days, sometime last century, when there was a band mobile: a 1976, 2000cc fuel-injected, gold-painted VW bus with a platform conversion in the back for sleeping and loading equipment. It traveled from Portland, Oregon to Vancouver, B.C., and through the Rocky Mountains down to Durango, Colorado. Dreaming of hitting the road again someday with a similar, 4-wheeled companion...VW, why don't you come through with a new, electric version?
This thing...looks like a soccer mom-mobile...
